Beryl Miles is the Managing and Founding Director of Artworkshops Australia. She invites prominent Australian artists to conduct art workshops and co-ordinates and facilitates the workshop programs which include painting expeditions to local and overseas destinations.

A painter since 1979, Beryl made the transition from making and painting ceramics in South Africa to portraiture. In the 1980’s after visiting the Australian outback and falling in love with the richness of the landscape, Beryl discovered her two greatest early influences, Fred Williams and Elisabeth Cummings.

The discovery was a turning point in Beryl’s work, as direction shifted to abstraction. “I am tied to the process of painting and my interpretation of the landscape.”
